General Heating and Air Conditioning understands that HVAC installation must be a clean and efficient operation, particularly in hospital renovation work such as the St. Marys Hospital Medical Center project.

Heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems for hospitals are just about the most complicated of commercial applications. Due to the very sensitive nature of their business, hospitals cannot afford to have anything less than the best.

General Heating and Air Conditioning has been chosen time and time again by hospitals seeking a contractor with the experience and professional capabilities to install and maintain complex HVAC systems. These systems must consistently function at peak performance levels, meeting a variety of special demands in operating theaters, intensive care units, nurseries, delivery and recovery rooms.

When existing services are shut off and new connections to piping and ducts are made, coordination with the hospital's maintenance staff is necessary to minimize disruptions. On-site personnel should be given thorough training on maintenance and back-up systems. Good communication with the hospital staff throughout the project, and after the completion of installation, is essential to assure meeting the hospital's goals and objectives.

When St. Marys Hospital Medical Center began its Northwest Wing Remodeling Project, General was selected as the heating/ventilation and air conditioning contractor. The project included major renovations to the medical and surgical intensive care units and relocation of the mechanical equipment room to the wing's fifth-floor penthouse. "This all had to happen with our many essential systems functioning at full capacity," noted Gary Rothenbuehler. General met the operational needs of the project and maintained a positive on-site presence.

General was also selected to work on the Wausau Hospital Center Outpatient Addition. The significant expansion was designed with future growth in mind. According to Wausau Hospital's John Rutt, they found General to be "very comfort-able to work with" and that he particularly appreciated General's cooperative attitude and their "willingness to share" their expertise. We'd be pleased to discuss your specific needs in detail. Other recent clients include:
